It is almost here

The holiday season has seen us busy busy busy but that is what goes with this time of year. This year I did some online shopping which was so nice, delivered right to the door and for the shopping we did at the stores we got up Sat morning and got to the stores when they openned so we didn't really have to fight our way through any really huge crowds. I am glad that I don't have to go near a mall these last few days.

Last weekend our very good friends Doug & Kathi came down and we went to 34th street bar and grill for supper. The food was good, but the service could of been a bit better. We had a good visit with them and enjoyed hearing about their trip to Disney. Saturday I spent the day curled up in my chair, wrapped up in my blanket and dozing in and out. Seems that the cold that I had a month ago has come back. I went to the doctor Thurs night and he put me back on antibiotic. Sunday we went out to Virden and had a mini Christmas with my brother and his family. My aunt and uncle came over for a visit and then we all went to B&D's for smorg supper. It was very good.

This week I have been busy trying to keep laundry caught up, but is laundry ever really caught up! Getting the suitcase with presents packed and then checking it and double checking it to ensure that everything is in there. Last night it was Ackland's Christmas party which was supper at The Keg, and it was yummy! Tonight we will pack our suitcases, get last minute things ready to go as tomorrow night as soon as everyone is done work we are heading to Virden to pick up dad and then to Regina for the night. Saturday morning we will catch our plane and be off to see the kids!

We are hoping the weather cooperates and we can wander around Victoria a little bit before we head to Nanaimo. Depending on how things go and what time we get to Nanaimo etc we will either go out and get groceries Saturday night, or Sunday. Sunday it sounds like we will spend time visiting and whatever else might come along. In the evening we will likely drive around looking at the lights. Monday will be all the hustle and bustle and excitement of Chistmas Day! Boxing day we are going over to the mainland to spend boxing day open house at Tammy's grandparents. We will get to meet some more of Tammy's family which will be great. After we are done there we are going to drive to Vancouver and see some sights and then catch the ferry back. It is going to be a totally different Christmas than we have ever spent before but I am thinking it is going to be great! It will be nice to have a little one around again as that is what it is all about.

This will likely be my last post before we leave, so I will take this time to wish you all a very very happy holiday season!
