Holidays. Will they ever get here?

Tomorrow night at 5:00 holidays start! Yippee!! But it seems that they just aren't getting here fast enough. We have had very hot weather and a fair bit of humidity here, and it makes us very happy to have our a/c. I think we picked a good year to install it.

I have been trying to get my stuff organized and figure out what I want to take as far as knitting projects with me on holidays. I would go crazy if I had didn't have knitting to help pass the time while travelling. Probably won't get to work on too much while in Nanaimo but that is okay.*S*

We are taking Crystal out for supper on Friday night before we head to the trailer. With work she can't come with us this year so it will be different for all of us. Once we are done supper we will come back to the house, pack up what meat etc we are taking to the trailer and be off. Gary will golf Saturday morning with the guys and then we will just hang out at the trailer. Sunday morning we will get up, have breakfast and then head out, driving as far as we can that day. Then will do the same on Monday, and will arrive in Nanaimo sometime on Tuesday. It is going to be so good to see Ryan, Tammy & Rawley. Things are somewhat stressful for them right now, so will be good to just spend some time with them.

Today dad comes down for his routine, yearly, scope so hopefully that all goes okay. Then on July 26th he has to go to Winnipeg for some tests and lab work etc and on July 27th he will have an angiogram. There is the possibility that they will put in a stent and if they do he will spend the night in the hospital and then come home. I feel bad that we will be away during this time, but it would be really hard to change things now.

Crystal got some rather good news yesterday at work. She had to go into her boss's office to get a signature from him and while she was there he asked if she would like to continue working on Saturdays after school goes back in. And he mentioned something along the lines that by doing so it would keep her fresh and made it sound like she might have a job there once school is over. She said that she would like to work the Saturdays but would tell him for sure today. When she talks to him she is going to ask him about the possiblity of a job when school is over etc. She was so happy when she got home that she was almost walking on air. She so wants to be finished with the sub shop and if they are offering a job she can quit there. Also if she works there at least she will be using some of the skills she is learing through her courses.

There is a possiblity that I might post while in Nanaimo, but not sure. So if not...bye for now and will post again in about 3 weeks.
