Finally some sun shine
We finally had a nice weekend at the campground. We got out Friday night and cooked supper, and then had to sit in the gazebo as the mosquitos were wicked. Guess with all the rain and cool weather we have had they have multiplied by the 100's. About 9 p.m. Gary started a fire and we sat around it until 10, when it started to rain. We quickly put everything away and went in, but even though it looked like it wa settling in for the night, it only lasted for about half an hour. Once the rain stopped, we could hear some of the people we know out there so we headed down to their campsite and they had a nice big fire going, so we sat around it and visited till about 1.
Saturday Gary went golfing and I just stayed at the trailer, knitted on a dolly sweater I had started and watched a bit of TV. Once Gary got back we had a bite of lunch and were just sitting there when my Dad drove in. He scared the dickens out of me, cos when I asked him how he was, his reply was...Not very good. So I asked him, what is the matter. His reply, I am pretty shock up. He then tells us that there had been an accident in town that morning, a lady drove her car across the tracks as a train was coming and was hit and killed. It turned out that the lady was Nora's(the lady my dad sees) sister in law. As of yet, they don't know exactly what happened and they may never know. The crossing had the lights that flash and the train always blows it's horn as it passes the crossings in town, so people don't really know what happened, unless she had a heart attack or stroke or something similar and didn't even realize what she was doing. It definetly is a shock for a small town!
Sunday, Gary went golfing again in the morning. The rest of the day we just relaxed and didn't do much at all. Just enjoying the sun and nice weather.
