Medical things! Enough is enough already

So I went in for my colonoscopy on Wednesday and even though I have not been having any symptoms they discovered that I had significant inflammation from my Crohn's. Significant enough that it was causing narrowings which aren't good. Dr. Dhalla put me on 2 new medications and hopefully that will combat the inflammation enough that it won't lead to surgery down the road. Because of what he found he also ordered a small bowel series which involved drinking 2 big glasses of chalky white liquid and then having xrays. I get the results of that test when I go to see Dr Dhalla tomorrow. Then this afternoon Gary phoned to say that his boss was sending him to the hospital because he wasn't looking very good. Gary had told him that he was in pain. He phoned from the hospital to say that they figure it is a kidney stone and have given him demerol and that he is going for a CT scan. So that is the three...right.... no more!!! *S* Guess this is what happens as you get older you start having more medical conditions.

On the lighter side I did finish Rawley's WW and that leaves one more to cast on. Maybe this weekend and work on it on the way to Winnipeg, or maybe not. I cast on Joleen's socks as well and have one down to the gussets. I also could not resist the urge to cast on some luscious alpaca that I am test knitting for a friend! It is like a little piece of heaven, so soft and wonderful to work with. I have decided to make some wrist warmers, mitts, hat and see if there is enough of the grey to do a scarf and then must decide what to make with the other colors.

  • Sorry to hear about Gary and you. Enough already. Sure hope all works out alright. Got you both added to my prayer list. Take care and let me know how it works out.
