Time to check in here again
My goodness, the time seems to have flown by and I have been so busy that I have been neglecting my blog. So I will try to catch it up today.
I see the last thing I commented on was medical things. It seems that Gary has passed that annoying kidney stone, unfortunately it's timing wasn't the best. We went to Winnipeg for his big Christmas party and he was VERY uncomfortable As for myself I have been trying to get information from my specialist! Those guys know that you really have no choice in who you see and they can be most annoying. I got my letter for the hosptial about going back for my repeat test and it stated to let them know if I was on any meds that I would need to discontinue prior to the test. My family doctor wasn't really comfortable answering the question for me as he was not the one who perscribed the medication so I put in a phone call to the specialist. After trying to get an answer for over a week I think I have the answer. I only got talking to his nurse and I am not entirely sure she knew exactly what I was asking because she kept asking me which meds I needed a perscription for! Oh well, for now I go with what she told me and if it isn't right then I guess the test gets delayed.
Now on to knitting!! I am still plugging away at Christmas knitting! I had a few interruptions though. First one of my daycare girls asked if I could make her mittens to put on the mitten tree. Of course if I made her a pair I would need to make them for all my schoolagers and who can say no to a 6 year old. So 5 pair of mittens needed to be knit up in short order. Got them finished and sent off to school. Next a person for our banking facility phoned. He had seen the things that I dropped off for their mitten tree and wondered if I could make him a pair of slippers for his 93 year old Baba. Now really, who can so no to a little 93 year old Baba. Slippers have now been knit and delivered so Baba should have warm tootsies on Christmas morning. And now to finish up the socks that I must get done and then I can finally start of the list of things waiting. The things that I really want to work on. Oh yes, and I forgot, I have to get started on the scarf that my dd requested.
Last night Gary took the present for Ryan, Tammy & Rawley and got them on the bus so they will be there in time for Christmas morning. I am still waiting on one gift for Rawley but they know that it is still coming. It's estimated arrival is tomorrow, but didn't want to keep them all here just incase this one doesn't arrive tomorrow.
Saturday we are heading to Virden in the late afternoon to have supper with good friends. In the beginning they were coming here, but they just 'adopted' a new puppy and didn't want to leave it alone. It works out good for us though because we will visit with them, then stay at my dad's and on Sunday my brother & family will come in and we will decorate his tree.
Now back to the socks.....
