First Day of Spring
or so they say*S* We still have a fair bit of snow on the ground and our temps are a bit below normal for this time of year. At least we didn't get the dump of snow that Edmonton got over the weekend (20+cm)! We have had enough winter, time for some nice springy weather for sure.
This weekend was pretty uneventful. Friday night was the hockey game, Saturday we went out and ran some errands in the morning and then came home to watch Canada in the curling. The men's brier was also on so we watched that. Sunday was pretty much the same, except I did some tidying up and rearranging things. Going to get my house all cleaned up so that Crystal just has to keep her stuff picked up next week.
Since the main get together is being held in June, and it appears that the Canucks aren't included I am really looking forward to spending a few days with a few really good friends over spring break this year. I really am disappointed that not one of the canucks got an email about the upcoming gtg and had to hear about it via the grapevine. Guess the ones from south of the border no longer wish our company which is fine if that is how they feel. I am pretty sure I know the one responsible for the split in our group and if it makes her happy then so be it! Although it is sad that our fun group split this way. But I guess some just aren't happy unless they are the top dog! But from what I have seen of people like that they really do end up being pretty lonely and pretty sad in their lives.
But, anyways I am so glad that we were able to work around spring break here and get together to visit. I am sure we will do some knitting, lots and lots of laughing and of course eating some yummy food. What could be better than getting the chance to spend time with good friends, nice yarn & needles & tasty food! I also like that Gary and I get to spend time together on the trip there and the trip back home. It is nice that he gets a chance to visit with his family and I know they visit better when they aren't worried about entertaining me at the same time.
So the countdown is starting, what to pack, what will the weather be like, what to take to work on. I know I will have a wonderful time with my friends and we can look forward to the possiblity of a gtg next year.
