Welcome Summer

Wow...summer has hit Manitoba with a vengance. Today our temperature was 30 with the humidex about 35 or higher. When you walked outside it was just like a wall hit you. I think that I might have convinced my dad to look into ductless air conditioning for his house. He has been saying how the heat is really bothering him this year. I phoned a place today and got a quote for him and he said that he just might do it. He always worries about spending money on 'useless' things and 'wasting' our inheritance. I tried to tell him that if it made him more comfortable then it wouldn't be useless, and as long as he left enough money in his account to pay his final bills that was all we needed.

After work today Gary went out to cut wood for us to use at the trailer. I really tried to tell him that he should wait till the weekend, when it is suppose to be at least a bit cooler but you know men! He called from the farm to say that he was just going to load what he had cut on the truck and dump it off at the trailer.

This morning poor Kenzie started telling me that her ears hurt. I didn't know if they really were or not or if she just liked that when she said they hurt she got my undivided attention. Finally decided to call her mom and she could decide if she wanted to take her in or what. Glad that I called her and that she decided to take her in, as she does have the beginnings of ear infection

I finished up one of the WW, and it turned out the right size for Johnathon so I can now go from there figuring out the other sizes I will need. I will have to take a picture of it and post it. I was quite happy with the way it turned out. Now I have cast on a matching hat and will also do mittens.
